In this case, a vulnerable pensioner had transferred the property in which she had lived for decades to a younger man who exerted control and influence over her and had promised to allow her to live there and maintain the property. However, he gradually took over the property, which became uninhabitable and eventually the Claimant was forced to move out. Morwenna originally provided assistance, advice and drafting via the Bar Pro Bono Unit. She later (instructed pro bono through Solicitors) succeeded in obtaining Judgment, setting aside the transfer for undue influence and allowing the Claimant to recover possession and ownership of her home.
