Simon Mills and Zachary Kell have appeared in a series of High Court applications in relation to a multi-million pound commercial fraud claim brought by companies in the Circumference Group, an international financial services company based in the Cayman Islands. The applications involved various cross-border issues including the laws of Luxembourg, France and Morocco.
Simon and Zachary successfully obtained worldwide freezing orders (capped at £5.44 million) and proprietary injunctions before Mr Justice Meade, Mrs Justice Joanna Smith and Mrs Justice Bacon. Subsequently, they obtained an unless order from Clare Ambrose, sitting as a Deputy Judge (judgment here) and appeared in further various applications before Nicholas Thompsell, sitting as a Deputy Judge (judgment here).
