Satinder Gill, joint head of Five Papers’ Business Immigration and Regulatory Team, and Zachary Kell, a member of our Commercial Team, and Senior Clerk, David Portch are travelling to Limassol, Cyprus for the Bar Council and Cyprus Bar Association’s joint English-Cypriot Law Day, 10th – 14th September 2019.
Both will be speaking to the conference at the Law Day, Satinder covering topics in relation to Brexit and its implications for Cyprus-UK legal practice, including establishment and practice rights post Brexit in the UK and Cyprus and the UK’s future immigration system. Zachary will be discussing new developments in civil procedure, including looking at the Witness Evidence Working Group in the Commercial Court, and how the push for greater efficiency in the Business and Property Courts will make England and Wales a more attractive international jurisdiction. For this conference, Zachary is the recipient of the International Legal and Professional Development Grant funded by the Young Barristers’ Committee and COMBAR.
We will also be meeting and presenting at local law firms regarding the UK’s future immigration system for business and investment, and, cross-border litigation and enforcement: freezing orders, ancillary orders and other relief.
