Ian Wright delivers a seminar on leading health and safety case Hague v Rotary Yorkshire Ltd to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR)

Ian addressed lawyers and inspectors of the Office of Rail and Road on the meaning and effect of the Court of Appeal’s judgment. The case, cited at [2015] EWHC 696, is the first time the Court of Appeal has considered the approach to be taken by a tribunal hearing an appeal under section 24 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. Ian acted for the successful appellant and has been instrumental in assisting tribunals and courts develop the principles in this area of law over the past decade.
