Five Paper is delighted to announce that the King has appointed Gita Chakravarty to be a District Judge. The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit.
Gita was called to the Bar in 2010 and has been a member of Chambers since successfully completing her pupillage with us in 2012. She has been a member of the Commercial Division with a practice focusing on insolvency and banking law but will be leaving the Bar to start her full-time appointment in April 2026.
Her appointment is richly deserved and we wish her well in her judicial career.
