Ben Leb was recently instructed by Dr. Dogan Gultutan in a cross-border inheritance case, which involved detailed consideration of the conflict of law rules concerning the Turkish vis-a-vis English Laws of Intestacy.
In this case, Ben was instructed to Advise Ms GA on her entitlement in the Estate of her recently deceased brother, who, at the time of his death, had various assets in multiple asset classes within the UK. Neither the personal representative of the Estate, Mrs BA nor the deceased were domiciled in the UK. Notwithstanding Ms GA’s multiple requests to Mrs BA for disclosure of assets in the UK, she failed to comply. Accordingly, Ben obtained an injunction restraining the administrator of the Estate from dissipating any assets from the Estate.
Thank you to Dr. Dogan Gultutan for the instruction and his meticulous preparation of the case.
Ben Leb and other members of Five Paper are regularly instructed in inheritance issues, probate disputes and the structuring of trusts and estates. Please get in touch with David Portch to discuss further.
