Commercial and Insolvency Law
Our commercial barristers have particular expertise in the fields of commercial finance, asset recovery and insolvency. All of our members have significant advocacy experience, coupled with sound knowledge of the key issues in business and industry.
By combining a broad and deep understanding of the law with a firm grasp of the realities of business, we provide excellent results for our clients. Whether a case is complex or straightforward, we never lose sight of commercial sensitivities.
The Head of the Commercial Team is Simon Mills, who is ranked for his expertise in commercial litigation and edits two of the leading specialist law publications. Most of our cases come through solicitors, although in some situations we can work with companies and members of the public directly. We arrange seminars for professional clients to help illuminate different areas of law. These are accredited by the Law Society and the Bar Council for continuing professional development. We are also engaged by MBL Seminars Ltd to provide the speakers for their courses on factoring and invoice discounting.
We are happy to create tailored training events for existing and prospective clients. If you would like to discuss bespoke training options, please contact David Portch, our senior clerk.
